AmCham Egypt Meets with President Sisi in New York (September 21, 2016)

The U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-Egypt Business Council in cooperation with AmCham Egypt and the Egypt-U.S. Business Council (EUSBC) hosted His Excellency, President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, for a roundtable in New York City on Wednesday, September 21st with U.S. CEOs and business executives to discuss the business environment for American companies in Egypt and the overall bilateral economic relationship.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador David Thorne, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State, U.S. State Department. Representing the U.S. Chamber; were John Christmann, Chairman & CEO of the Apache Corporation and Chairman of the U.S.-Egypt Business Council, and Myron Brilliant, Executive Vice President & Head of International Affairs at the U.S. Chamber.  Representing the Egypt-U.S. Business Council was Omar Mohanna, Chairman of the Council. Representing AmCham Egypt were Anis Aclimandos, President and Hisham Fahmy, CEO of AmCham Egypt Inc., its mirror organization in the United States. The meeting was also attended by a number of CEOs and the senior leadership of a large number of U.S. Companies from among AmCham Egypt members as well as others.
